Australian Lions Foundation Limited

From when Cyclone Tracey decimated Darwin in 1974, to the devastating bushfires that impacted areas of South Australia and Victoria in 2015, and Western Australian in 2016, the Australian Lions Foundation has been on the ground providing financial assistance and support to local communities in times of need.

We continue to fulfil this need not only in Australia and Papua New Guinea, but also internationally where our emergency relief and community welfare projects contribute to global understanding and cooperation. Formed with the sole purpose of assisting people in times of need, these are just a few of our current initiatives:

  • Funding support for Mobile Cancer Screening facility for South Australia and Northern Territory
  • Relief funding to assist people impacted by the 2016 Cyclone Debbie and following flooding
  • Bicycles for children at the Jacana School for Autism
  • A Cancer clinic in Colac, Victoria
  • The provision of Liberty swings for disabled children
  • Funding of Men’s Sheds

Annual Honorary Gifts

Each year, when Lions clubs receive their semi-annual dues account, they are asked to make a voluntary donation to the Foundation. These funds are vital to ensure that we continue to serve our communities in Australia and we urge clubs to respond favourably to our request.
